tan Lever Fringes

Description

Our tan Lever Fringes are a beautiful addition to dress up your bike. Thy are made of beautiful buffed bridle leather. We have to thin the leather down to about 6 ounces to make it bendable around your levers. We keep the thickness on the fringes for a nice flow in the wind. They need a certain weight for that.

We punch out the leather pieces on our 15 ton clicker press. Wet the leather under lukewarm water for about 30 seconds to make the leather more pliable before you install them.  You just have to lace on the leather with the provided leather strings and you lace them on like you lace your shoes. You start at the top part and lace down to the bottom. Make an knot and cut the ends to the same length as the rest of the fringe.

The care for your tan Lever Fringes is important. Treat is like your best pair or shoes with a leather conditioner that contains beeswax like “Aussie” or “Skidmore” from Fiebing. The beeswax will repel water and protect from the sun rays. Keep a close eye on the leather and give it the TLC that it needs according to the climate you live in.
