Harley-Davidson heat shield with Studs

Description
This Harley-Davidson heat shield with stainless steel studs is made of beautiful buffed bridle leather. It has a ply of split leather (Suede) on the bottom, so nothing can scratch your motorcycle. Both layers are glued together with industrial cement and stitched around the edges. Then we emboss it with our butterfly design, leaving a border to add studs or a tooled border.
In order to install your Harley-Davidson heat shield with stainless steel studs you remove your seat. Take your heat shield and let some lukewarm water run over the top layer for about 30-60 seconds. Line up the opening in the heat shield on the frame so the tang of the seat can insert into the frame. Put your seat back on. The wings will stick out at first, but will “relax” the more you ride your bike with it.
The care for your leather is very important as it can curl when it dries out. Treat is like your best pair or shoes with a leather conditioner that contains beeswax like “Aussie” or “Skidmore” from Fiebing. The beeswax will repel water and protect from the sun rays. Keep a close eye on the leather and give it the TLC that it needs according to the climate you live in.

These crotch coolers work! Riding in the summer heat down here in Vegas can be awfully brutal. Especially while sitting at a stop light while your thighs are sizzling like bacon. I’m a lot more comfortable riding in the heat with this crotch cooler. Easy to install or remove! The crotch cooler also adds some bling to the bike. For all the mods I’ve spent money on this is well worth the $$$. Highly recommend these crotch coolers. I have a few other products from the Captain and all are very durable high quality leather.

Received mine; checked out YOUTUBE for installation (EASY) and finally got to ride and man-o-man…AWESOME!! Will definitely recommend to anyone who has an issue with the hot heat up their thigh situation!!! Not to mention how nice it looks. Only thing is I wished the studs had the same spacing as my seat. Love mine! Makes such a difference during our hot California summers. Mine is a few years old and I know it will last for a long time. High quality thick leather is used. I’ve seen the ones people buy off of eBay and they are like paper compared to quality of yours.

No more sizzling thighs after installing the cooler! It took no time at all to plop it in place and re-install the seat. Matches the bib, seat, and saddle bags. Here in Florida it can get a bit hot sitting at a stop light and this DEFINITELY helps out!

Beautiful leather product at a great value. I have a 2006 Heritage Softail Classic and I measured the studs on the seat and saddlebags. They were 1 inch apart from center to center. That wasn’t a drop down option when ordering so I picked the 1.25 inch but put in a note that I would prefer them 1 inch instead so they would match my bike. Captain Itch made it to my specifications exactly and after installation it looks like it came right from the factory as the heat shield matches the rest of the bike perfectly. (Added the conchos as well) Thank you Sir!
