Description
This Captain Itch Tank Bib with studs is made of one ply of beautiful buffed Bridle Leather and suede leather on the bottom side. Nothing can scratch your bike. Then we add crystals along the edge of the bib. In this photo the spacing between the crystals is 1.25 inches,
We make this tank bib with studs for Harley Davidson Softails only. This one here is for a Softail with squared off console. Some Softail models have more a tear drop like shape. Please specify in the order form which one you need.
This will not work on Sportsters or Harley-Davidson touring models.
To install this tank bib you need to loosen your console screw. Then slide the tank bib under. There is a slot on the bottom to secure it to the frame with. You have to take your seat off in order to do that.
The care for your leather is very important as it can curl when it dries out. Treat is like your best pair or shoes with a leather conditioner that contains beeswax like “Aussie” or “Skidmore” from Fiebing. The beeswax will repel water and protect from the sun rays. Keep a close eye on the leather and give it the TLC that it needs according to the climate you live in.

Without much trouble at all it fit right where the factory plastic bib was. I used an awl to open up the holes a little where it fits up under the console but other than that it’s perfect! I matches the Crotch cooler I got from the Captain and the seat and saddle bags.

I put this on my Softail Deluxe to match the studded seat and swingarm bags. Isabel was so nice on the phone to send me the same conchos that are on the tank bib for the skirts of my stock Deluxe seat that I personally studded myself to even enhance the look of my Deluxe even better.
